SHILLONG, March 14: NCP state president and MLA Saleng Sangma on Thursday said the outcome of this MP election cannot be predicted and urged the people to bring the difference they seek by choosing wisely.
Stating that election is election and to predict the outcome is difficult, he urged the people to flashback the positive and negative about the MPs and bring the change they desire.
Attacking the MPs, Sangma said that when one looks at the Meghalaya scenario, he has not seen MPs coming up and doing something but it is only the government and MLAs.
He further urged the people to make the right choice if they want a difference.
Although a part of the coalition, Sangma said he believes more on experience than rhetoric’s while adding that one can never buy the mindset of the people
“There is always polarisation amongst the people and the results will only reveal the truth,” he said.
It may be mentioned that the Congress has decided to field former Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma from Tura Parliamentary seat and sitting MP, Vincent H Pala from the Shillong Parliamentary seat. The MDA coalition is fielding UDP leader Jemino Mawthoh in Shillong and will field NPP candidate in Tura which in all likelihood will be Agatha Sangma.
