The girl identified as Miksrea Ch Sangma, was last seen by some villagers going out with another person from the same village after an argument with her mother over her school. The girl is a student of Class VI at Mendal.

“After the argument, she suddenly moved away from home, we suspect with another person from our village. Initially, we did not complain hoping she would be back but we got worried and conducted a wide search around the village when she did not return. Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to locate her,” said a desperate father, Gratian Momin.

The parents then filed a missing report on the incident on March 23, 2019 at Bajengdoba Police Station in North Garo Hills (NGH), though there has still not been any breakthrough in locating her till the filing of this report.
