SHILLONG, Nov 09: Reacting to the recent move of former Congress MDC in the KHADC Neil Antonio War shifting his allegiance to the BJP, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Dr. Mukul Sangma said that the BJP is getting people who have no chance of getting a Congress ticket to contest the upcoming 2018 state polls.

Dr. Sangma also accused War of hobnobbing to defeat the party sitting legislator from Laitumkhrah Ampareen Lyngdoh, who is presently minister in-charge of Labour.
“Those who left the Congress and went to other parties including the BJP did so because of their own self goals and tried to blame the Congress for the move,” Dr. Sangma said.
