Bangladeshi ficn racketeer and immigrants apprehended by BSF

On Thursday at about 7:30 am, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Rongra, deployed in South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended one Bangladeshi FICN racketeer named Abdul Hasim (40) resident of Kandapara village, Kalmakanda, Netrakona District (Bangladesh) near BP No 1172/MP while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh.
During search, party recovered FICN worth Rs 50,000 and 01 Mobile with a BD SIM from his possession. The seized FICN was being smuggled from Bangladesh and was meant for circulation in the Indian market.
BSF is keeping a strict vigil/surveillance and having effective intelligence network along the India-Bangladesh border to nab the FICN racketeers.
In another incident, On Wednesday last at about 4:30 pm, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Purakhasia, deployed in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended two Bangladeshi illegal immigrants while they were trying to infiltrate into India through the fence area near.
The apprehended immigrants were identified as as Md Rofekul Islam (22) resident of Karagaon village, Ainapur, Sreebrodi, Sherpur District (BD) and Md Mazharul Islam (30) resident of Khoria-Kajirchar Village Sreebrodi, Sherpur District (Bangladesh).
During search, 2 mobiles, 1 Bangladeshi Driving licence, 01 Toy revolver and some Bangladeshi currency was obtained from their possession.
Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.
