TURA, April 15: Re-polling to the Konarchar polling booth on Monday saw 93% of the total electorate come forward to exercise their franchise for both the Lok Sabha and the Selsella bye-election seats.
Re-polling in the booth was necessitated due to a mix up of the EVMs for the Lok Sabha and Selsella bye-election.
Out of a total of 674 eligible voters under Konachar polling station, 665 cast their ballot for the Lok Sabha and 663 for the assembly by-poll. This is 14 votes less than the April 11 election numbers (668 for Lok Sabha) and (674 for assembly by-poll).
Polling was brisk since early morning with more than 42% casting their votes by 11 am. The count had risen to 66% by 1 pm and finally closed at 93% overall.
