12 selected from Garo Hills for Meghalaya’s Dancing Star Mega Audition

Shillong, Nov 29: All Jaintia Dancers’ Association (AJDA), Jowai an organization which was established to promote dancing in the state is organising a state wide dancing competition called “Meghalaya Dancing Star”.
Organization’s president, Kyrshan Rymbai informed that the competition is billed to be one of the biggest ever dancing event organize in the state. Participants from all over the state will take in the mega dancing event. There will be three prizes in the competition the winner of the first prize will be awarded  a prize money worth Rs. 3 lakhs, the second prize winner will be awarded Rs. 50 thousand and there are also consolation prizes.

The organization is also planning to support the winner of the Meghalaya Dancing Star to take part in the national competition.
First audition for the participants from Garo hills was organize on Thursday at two venues – Tura govt college and District Library Auditorium, Tura. D.R. Michaeal Buam one of the organizer informed that in the two auditions, 12 participants have been selected for the mega audition which will be held in Jowai.
Audition for participants in Shillong will be held on the 1.12.12 at Youth Hostel, Shillong and in Jowai the audition will be on 03.12.12 at the District Library auditorium, Jowai.
