Garo Hills News Agency TURA, Mar. 04: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU) has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Dr. DD Lapang demanding improvement of the road and education scenario in the Garo Hills region. The GSU has demanded that a higher secondary school be set up at the headquarters of all the three districts and at the sub-division with Science and Commerce streams. The union has further urged the government to speed up the setting up of the Ganol Hydel Power Project and Nongalbibra Thermal Power project. The student body has also demanded that the national highways in Garo Hills be double lane and all district headquarter and sub-divisions have auditoriums.
