Lajong earns one point

Shillong, Jan 08: Sporting Clube de Goa and Shillong Lajong settled for a point each after being tied goalless in an I-League clash at the Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Saturday.
Both teams did not do anything out of the ordinary to earn the full points. Shillong Lajong saw more of the ball in the first session but Sporting Clube did well to take control in the second session, although strikers of both the teams failed to show any quality.

Clube De Goa to host Shillong Lajong FC

SHILLONG Jan 07: Goan side Sporting Clube De Goa will play host to North East side Shillong Lajong FC at the Duler Football Stadium on Tuesday in what will be a crucial Round 15 I-League encounter for both the sides.
Desmond Bulpin’s side goes in to the match with a worrying factor as the squad has been hit by several injury problems for some of the key players and this has become a major concern for the team which will certainly force Bulpin to explore his squad replacements.

JDBA to organize Inter Office Badminton Competition

SHILLONG Jan 07: The Jaintia District Badminton Association (JDBA), Jowai will organize the 6th Inter Office Badminton Competition at Loompyrdi, Iongpiah Indoor Hall, Jowai, from January 14-18.
All Government / Semi Government offices and Banks are invited to participate in the competition. Categories of the game are Men’s Single, Men’s Double, Mixed Double, Women’s Double and Women’s Single.

Meghalaya bags 13 medals in 23rd National Taekwondo Championship

SHILLONG, Jan 07: In the recently concluded 23rd National Taekwondo Championship held at Girish Parak, Kolkatta. The team from Meghalaya bagged 13 medals in total.
In an official communiqué, General Secretary of the Amateur Taekwondo Federation of India, Binod Kumar informed that the state bagged 13 medals in the national arena.
“Out of 13 medals, 3 were Gold, 2 Silver and 8 Bronze medals were won,” Kumar said.
The tournament was organized by Taekwondo Martial Art Association of Bengal in collaboration with Amateur Taekwondo Federation of India.

MAKO participates in Asian Seminar

SHILLONG, Jan 07: Two members of the Meghalaya Association of Kickboxing Organization (MAKO) took part in the recently concluded WAKO Asian Referee/ Judges Seminar at Srystal-II Orchid Hotel, Pune.
The two members are Donny Raphael Ranee and Gemansingh Warjri.
Ranee also took part as the International Referee/ Judge in the Wako Asian Kickboxing Championship.
About 18 countries from all over Asian took part in the championship.
