SHILLONG, Feb 01: In the round 19 of the I-League, Shillong Lajong FC will take on United Sikkim FC in what promises to be a high voltage game at the JN Stadium Shillong at 2PM on Saturday.
Both the teams are eager to earn full points and stay away from relegation zone. On December 8 last year United Sikkim hosted Shillong Lajong FC and both sides had to share points as the game resulted in a goalless draw.
SHILLONG, Jan 28: A brace from Sho Kamimura helped Shillong Lajong FC to split points along with Air India in the round 18 match of I-League played here at JN Sports Complex on Monday afternoon as the Match ended in 2-2 draw.
It was Airman who took the lead in the 16th minute of the game when Henry Ezeh neatly headed the ball to Rahul Bheke throwing into the bar leaving no room for the homes side custodian Lalthuammawia Ralte to react.
Shillong, Jan 28: Shillong Lajong Football Club has signed its 2nd Japanese player in the form of Sho Kamimura, a forward.
Kamimura has played in the Japan league for clubs like Mito HollyHock in 2011 and Albirex Niigata Singapore FC in 2012.
The North Eastern I-League Club, currently placed in the 9th position, have bolstered their attack by signing the J-League footballer Kamimura known for his speed and agility.
The 23 year old scored 8 goals for Albirex Niigata Singapore FC in 2012 and said that he is very happy and excited about the opportunity to play in the I-League.
“I will work hard and give my best to help the team perform well in all the remaining games”, he said.
Shillong, Jan 27: Shillong Lajong will look forward to pocket full points as they host Air India in the round 18 match of the I-League here at JN Sports Complex on Monday.
Lajong have not had good going of late and a win against 11th place side is a must.
On the other hand Air India will be happy if they settle in a draw. Lajong are placed nine at the points tally with 15 points against their kitty where as Air India are placed 11 with 14 points against their account.
SHILLONG, Jan 27: An Inter-locality football tournament was organized by the Seng Samla Malki Pynllun (SSMP) on Saturday last in which Nongshilliang defeated Chinapaty by 3 – 1 goal.
The SSMP has decided to organize different outdoor and indoor activities throughout this year for the youth of the locality to unite them and work together as part of reviving the organization which was dissolved in 2007.
