SHILLONG, March 31: Rangdajied United FC held Kolkata Southern Samity to a 1-1 draw in the opening batch at the second division of the I-League final rounds leg held on Saturday at the Bangalore Football stadium. Both the teams earned a point each.
The Shillong boys from the hills did well playing in a humid Bangalore temperature as they took on the boys from Kolkata who are adapt to a Bangalore type temperature.

Mumbai Tigers bite Langsning

SHILLONG, March 31: Despite of having an upper hand over the game Shillong’s Langsning went down to Mumbai Tigers, here at Bangalore Football Stadium on Saturday.
Langsning did generated supporters but went down to rivals from Mumbai by a solitary goal. It was Langsning who had dominated the game from the very first whistle but luck failed to smile over them.In the 24th minute of the game Daniel Bidemu Ayeni, shot from zero angle found the back of the net but was caught off side.

• 4th Dr T Ao Memorial Football Tournament • Manipur emerge as the new Champions

SHILLONG, March 27: Manipur lifted the fourth edition of the Dr T Ao Memorial Football Tournament after defeating Mizoram by 4-3 goals in tie-breaker in the final match played JN Stadium, Polo on Wednesday.
The crowd that turned up for the final match was treated with an electrifying contest with both Mizoram and Manipur playing to their full potential. Manipur started off the match in style as they nearly scored in the 2nd minute of the match after M Deepak took a strong right footer which was brilliantly saved by the Mizoram custodian J Van Lal Hriata.

Meghalaya bags its first Silver medal in Shooting

Shillong, March 27: Meghalaya has bagged its first ever silver medal in shooting at the 1st Zaua Memorial North East Championship held at Aizawl, Mizoram from March 18 - 24, sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC).
The Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM), representing Meghalaya team, attended the Championship with only one shooter in the .22 open sight pistol (25 meter) and .177 pistol (10 meter) which was represented by John Thounaojam of Upper Chandmari, Tura in both the categories.

SHILLONG, March 27: The Mariners will host Shillong Lajong FC in the 22nd round of the I-League, to be played at the Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday at 2pm.
The Kolkata outfit won 3-2 against the AIFF developmental side, Pailan Arrows last weekend but are still at the bottom of the I-league table with 9 points.
