SHILLONG, March 18: Skipper Niwan O Gatpoh’s hat-trick guided host Meghalaya to a comfortable victory over Arunachal Pradesh 3-0 in the second match of the 4th edition Dr. T. Ao Memorial Football tournament being played here at JN Sports complex under the flood light.

Assam downs Nagaland by 2 goals

SHILLONG, March 18:  Assam earned 3 points in the first match of the Dr. T.Ao Memorial Football Tournament 2013, after defeating Nagaland by 2 goals to nil at JN Stadium, Polo.
The first half of the game was rather dull in play with Nagaland’s Lipok Sashi unble to score a penalty at the 37th minute; however things picked up at the second half when Biswajit Swarkiyari scored a brilliant goal at the 66th minute. Assam’s victory was affirmed by the second goal scored at the crucial 84th minute by Biswamitra Basumatary

Royal Wahingdoh cruises ahead with 4-0 win

Shillong, March 15: Yet another inspiring performance by the likes of Ennio, Atsushi and Jacki led Royal Wahingdoh to a third straight win on Friday at the Emerald Heights Ground, Indore.
Playing Green Valley from Assam, the Royals got off to a brisk start with Jacki sending a right-footer past the keeper sixteen minutes into the match following a cross by Atsushi from the right flank.

SLFC triumphs Mohun Bagan yet misses final round

SHILLONG, March 14: A spirited Shillong Lajong FC Under 20 team got the better of Group C table leaders, Mohun Bagan to register a 3-1win in their final Group C match of the I-League U20 football tournament in Jamshedpur on Thursday.
Mohun Bagan took the lead when Polat fired the ball home in the 24th minute.

Royal Wahingdoh demolishes Simla Youngs with 5-0 win

Shillong, March 13: If there’s one word to describe Royal Wahingdoh’s performance on Wednesday’s 2nd Division I-League encounter against Simla Youngs, it would be ‘spectacular.’
Five Royal goals in a span of eighteen minutes changed the entire course of the match with Royal Wahingdoh registering their second straight win with the first coming against Techno Aryan on Monday.
