Fed Cup 2017: DSK Shivajians will play against Shillong Lajong

Shillong, May 11: Shillong Lajong will meet Pune based I-League club, DSK Shivajians in the last group B of the Hero Federation Cup 2017 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Fridat at 4PM. The match will broadcast live on Ten 2.
Thangboi Singto’s young brigade failed to register victories in their last two outings, going down by similar score line of 3-2 against Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan AC on 8th and 10th May respectively. So far, the goals for Lajong have come from Yuta Kinowaki who scored one goal each against BFC and Mohun Bagan while Samuel Lalmuanpuia netted one versus Bengaluru FC.

West Jaintia Hills set up boys’ final against St Anthony’s in Assam Rifles CAPF U-19

Shillong, May 11: West Jaintia Hills District Sports Association and St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School will clash on Saturday in the boys’ final of the Assam Rifles CAPF Under-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament for Meghalaya after both came through their semi final fixtures here on Thursday.
On the back foot throughout the entire contest, West Jaintia Hills held their nerve in a tense penalty shootout to win 4-3 against Nongstoin District Sports Association after full time ended 1-1.

Umsning, East Jaintia Hills set up Assam Rifles CAPF Under-19 girls title clash

SHILLONG, May 10: Umsning SC will meet East Jaintia Hills District Sports Association in the girls’ final of the Assam Rifles CAPF Under-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament for Meghalaya after both registered victories against their semifinal opponents here on Wednesday.
While Umsning defeated Tyrsad Higher Secondary School 4-0, East Jaintia Hills got the better of Laitkor SC 2-0. In the 1:30pm match Umsning started off by taking an early lead through Solina Jaba in the fourth minute. The dynamo Pynhun Shullet then doubled the lead in the 15th minute after sprinting past the defensive line to receive a forward pass from Baiahunlang Mawphniang and knocking the ball into the net.

Assam Rifles K Kawla U-19 football talent hunt concludes

AIZAWL, May 10: The Assam Rifles K Kawla U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament, organized by 23 Sector Assam Rifles under IGAR (East), an initiative of MHA concluded on Tuesday.
The final match of Assam Rifles K Kawla U-19 Girls Football Talent Hunt Tournament was played between Aizawl and Kolasib in the morning session at AR Ground, Aizawl. Aizawl trounced Kolasib by 8-0 to become the winners of the coveted Assam Rifles K Kawla U-19 Girls Football Talent Hunt Trophy. Miss Mizoram, Rody H Vanlalhriatpuii was the chief guest during the match.

Shillong Lajong to play Mohun Bagan

Shillong, May 09: Shillong Lajong will play their second group B match against Mohun Bagan on Wednesday at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack at 7PM. The match will broadcast live on Ten 2.
It was a disappointing first day for the Reds in Cuttack as they succumbed to a 3-2 loss versus Bengaluru FC. Udanta Singh and Eugeneson Lyngdoh provided the two goals for the winning side and their third was a defensive mistake by Lajong captain, Aiborlang Khonjee which resulted in an own goal.
