Extra time goal helps Rangdajied United upset Royal Wahingdoh 2-1

Shillong, June 30:
Agrha Chakraborty scored a goal in injury time to help Rangdajied United secure a fashionable win against reigning Shillong Premier League (SPL) champs Royal Wahingdoh FC at the J.N. Stadium on Saturday.
Rangdajied United came back strongly into the game despite being a goal down at half time after an early 3rd minute goal scored by Royal Wahingdoh FC striker Bickyson, who came up with a fine finish following a through ball by Mala.

Nangkiew Irat SC upset Langsning FC 2-1

Shillong, June 29:
Nangkiew Irat SC produced an incredible performance to come back into the game after trailing by a goal at half time at the J. N. Stadium, Polo Grounds.
Favourites Langsning started off in a dominating manner despite a third minute yellow card issued to Zothansanga. It took only fourteen minutes before they almost scored their first goal through a calculated cross from Mayosing Khongreiwo to Nabachandra Singh. Unfortunately for Langsning, the cross could not be translated.
However, Nabachandra was again seen in action in the 41st minute after he fired in a shot that flew past Nangkiew’s goalie, Laisharm to give Langsning a highly-predicted lead.

Lajong – MLP clash ends in draw

Shillong Lajong FC drew their first outing of the Shillong Premiere League (SPL) against MLP FT 1-1 in a high-velocity match played at the J. N. Stadium, Polo Grounds on Thursday.

Rangdajied United rout Lawmali Pyllun 4-1

Shillong, June 27:
Rangdajied United dominated in their opening game against Lawmali Pyllun by securing a comprehensive 4-1 win at the J.N. Stadium, Polo Grounds.
Foreign striker Babatunde scored two goals to give his side an unassailable 3-1 lead at half time with his first break coming barely eight minutes into the game. However, Lawmali Pyllun sprung in a surprise goal to level the scores in the 17th minute with Teiborlang Dhar doing the honours for the underdogs. A beautiful cross by Stephanfield Lanong to Bansharai Sunn in the 30th minute was converted into a clean header that saw the ball beat Lawmali’s custodian Wallambok and give Rangdajied the second lead of the match.

Malki SC battles Langsning FC to a draw

Shillong, June 26:
Malki S.C. put up a clinical performance to hold favorites Langsning F.C. to a 1-1 draw in a match that saw numerous scoring opportunities go down.
In the second match of this season’s Shillong Premier League, Malki S.C. had their opponents on the back foot right from the start of the game.
