Nagaland's sends goodwill mission to Assam

GUWAHATI, Nov 09:  An eight-member team of Assam-Nagaland goodwill team called on Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi here on Friday.
The members of the team said the people of Nagaland want solution to the long festering Assam-Nagaland border imbroglio amicably and peacefully outside the jurisdiction of the apex court. “The matter should be resolved outside the court with both sides arriving at a mutually agreed solution through give and take policy. Towards this end we have the blessings of our chief minister Neiphiu Rio and various organisations,” said Tali Longkunar.

TET Meetei Mayek language by 2015: Minister

IMPHAL, Nov 09: Manipur Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro Friday said that well before 2015 the Teacher's Eligibility Test (TET) will be compelled to conduct in Meetei Mayek language taking into account of the High School Leaving Certificate exam when the students have to give it as a Modern Indian Language (MIL).
The minister stated this while taking part at a function marking the launching of a monthly bi-edition journal: “Pandam” and its website www.pandamnews.com at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound. The journal, the first ever Meetei Mayek monthly journal and to be published in English too, was launched on the occasion of 68th birth anniversary of Chingsubam Akaba by Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningshing Lup (LUCANIL).

Shillong, Nov 08: The Deputy Commissioner (Election), South west Khasi Hills District, A Mawlong along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner in charge Election Branch KL Nongbri on Wednesday met the representatives of the political parties of Ranikor and Mawkyrwat constituency to discuss about relocation of polling stations, creation of sections and other matters relating to various programmes of the Election Department.

BNRGSK Building & Entrepreneur Facilitation Centre inaugurated at Thadlaskein

Jowai, Nov 08: The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai PS Dkhar, Thursday inaugurated the Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra (BNRGSK) building constructed at the cost Rs. 25,00,000  and the first Entrepreneur Facilitation Centre (EFC) of the District in the headquarter of Thadlaskein Block.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner, said the building constructed will serve and benefit the purpose of the public falling under the Thadlaskein Block including the AEC’s (Area Employment Councils) under Lad Mukhla as well as the VEC’s (Village Employment Councils) under Thadlaskein Block for conducting meeting, auditing and other purposes, it will also serve the purpose for organising other Governmental programme.
