New Delhi, March 09 (IANS): If India wants its northeast to benefit from the much publicised Look East Policy, it must bring top leaders of south east Asia to that region and encourage dialogue and discussion there, says Surin Pitsuwan, till recently the secretary-general of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

SHILLONG, March 08: Citing money-power as the main factor for her defeat in the just concluded Meghalaya Assembly elections, Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) candidate from Mawthadraishan, Dr Fenela Lyngdoh Nonglait on Friday said there is a need to change the mind-set of the electorate by making them aware of the ill-effects of money.
“Awareness is one important factor which can curb the use of monetary power during elections,” she asserted.
