Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) Commander-in-Chief (CiC) Sohan D.Shira has warned the leaders of Achik National Volunteers Council (ANVC) for helping the Meghalaya Police (MLP) in locating their camps.

Informing Meghalaya Times, Shira said that the leaders of ANVC are sending their lower rank cadres and helping Meghalaya Police in locating their camps during the operation against them. He warned ANVC saying that if it continues to do so, GNLA will also not keep quite anymore.

"If the ANVC leaders send their cadres to look for us in tandem with the Meghalaya Police again; we will also send our cadres to do the needful," said Shira. "Since Meghalaya Police had failed to locate their camps on their own, they are now using ANVC to locate their camps. And when they find our camps, they distribute the cash which was found in our camps" added Shira.

Also, taking a shot at Superintendent of Police (SP),Williamnagar, Sylvester Nongtyngear, Shira said, "We are also watching the SP, Williamnagar very closely. We are getting lot of complaints against him for rampantly collecting money from the truckers and at Check gates". He cautioned "we repeat again, no one will be spared; we do not care if it is SP or DC or Ministers."

"We know that he (SP Williamnagar) knows where our camps are but we are not afraid of him as he has been turning a blind eye to us for long because he cares more about collecting money from the truckers at check gates and weigh bridges in NH 62 rather than to go to jungle and get sunburn" Shira informed.
