Union Minister happy about scheme implementation in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Dec 05: The proper implementation of various schemes for the development of the tribal people of Meghalaya has been appreciated by the Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Jaswantsinh Bhabhor who is presently in the state capital.
Having held a review meeting with the State Government officials and Minister, Kyrmen Shylla here on Wednesday, Bhabhor said that the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma is looking after the tribal affairs department in the best manner and he is also supporting the work in the department.


Stating that the Prime Minister wants to take the tribal people forward and towards development, he added that the State Government is making the best efforts to implement various schemes meant for the tribal people in the state.
During the meeting, the Union Minister and the State Government officials also discussed the proposals which the Meghalaya Government needs to submit for different schemes and programmes for the tribal people.
When asked if the Centre would sanction more funds for the state, the Union Minister said, “As far as development of Meghalaya is concerned, we are committed.”
