According to police sources, the blast took place just 50 metres away from the office of the SP, EGH in the town at about 10:35 pm, near an area where some labourers were sleeping.

The blast took place behind the compound of the Cooperative building near the main town while some carpenters were sleeping.

We are currently investigating the matter though we are still trying to figure out the motive behind the act,” said Ringrang TG Momin, the SP of EGH.
The SP further said that the intensity was really low with even the shack made of tin hardly being impacted other than a small dent.
