SHILLONG, Sep 05: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has said that the statement of AICC spokesperson Gaurav Gogoi on the functioning of the NPP led MDA government in Meghalaya is a mere reflection of the frustration of the Congress party as the MDA government has done what the Congress government could not in the developmental sphere.
AICC spokesperson, Gogoi had on Tuesday said that the NPP led MDA government is following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s model of only talks and no action like “Maan Ki Baat” and that the people are tired of listening to it.

Reacting to this on Wednesday, Conrad said, “Clearly from the Congress point of view, there is a certain level of frustration as when they see that so many things are happening and they cannot find any particular point or anything to say against the government, they came up with such random statement.”
“Giving random statements not backed by facts is meaningless and a reflection of their frustration,” Conrad added.
Highlighting the initiatives taken by the government in the past six months, Conrad said that this year the sanctions for many departments have been the highest for the state, be it the PMGSY, PMAY, pending bills and therefore before  making such statements, Gogoi should do his home work and check facts.
He further said that the MDA government is committed and moving ahead and have done a lot of things that the Congress government was not able to do.
