LJP urges Centre to solve manpower shortage at NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG, Aug 13: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in Meghalaya has sought the intervention of the Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda while appealing to him held address a shortage of staff nurses at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Helath and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS).

In a memorandum submitted to Nadda recently, LJP state president Jamil Ahmed said, “I request you to kindly intervene into the matter and accord approval of the number of nurses required by the NEIGRIHMS as there many qualified candidates lying unemployed in the state.”
He informed that during a meeting held with the Director of NEIGRIHMS, it was learnt that the institute had demanded appointment of about 840 staff nurses but the same is yet to be cleared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
