SHILLONG, July 10: The office of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) at Lachumiere in the city was the target of miscreants who lobbed a petrol bomb (Molotov cocktail) into one of the rooms there on Tuesday.
This arrack which took place at around 8 am resulted in the damage of important documents.
According to a senior police officer, miscreants lobbed a petrol bomb inside the room of the secretary of the MPSC.
He also said that police are still investigating the crime and attempting to nab the culprits besides finding out the motive behind the attack.
Earlier, East Khasi Hills District police chief Davis NR Marak also rushed to the MPSC office to take stock of the situation.
Sources on the other hand said that two people were seen coming out of the building soon after the petrol bomb attack.
