SHILLONG, July 05: Umsning MDC, Donkupar Sumer has been dropped from the present Executive Committee (EC) in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council after Chief Executive Member (CEM), Pynshngain Syiem alleged that he attempting to topple the same.
“I have taken this decision to drop him (Sumer) as EM since he was involved in the conspiracy to topple the present EC,” Syiem had said here on Thursday.

Syiem however expressed his surprise that Sumer had attempted such a move while maintaining that the latter is very much a part of the present EC.
“He should have resigned before being part of such move to topple the EC,” Syiem added.
Earlier, Syiem had also dropped UDP MDC from Laitumkhrah Antonio War for the same reason.
Meanwhile, Syiem has decided to recommend the names of James Sylliang and Grace Mary Kharpuri to the Governor for induction as the new executive members of the Council.
“Sylliang and Kharpuri will replace Sumer and War,” he said. It may be mentioned that the Sylliang and Kharpuri were the two PDF MDCs who were dropped as EMs by Syiem after they earlier openly rebelled against him.
