TURA, May 14: Posters seeking an apology from the Congress candidate from Ampati, Miani D Shira for her comment regarding Selsella residents being less intelligent than people of Ampati, have come up in various places in the constituency of Selsella
Posters were found in various locations across Selsella in West Garo Hills up to Garobadha in South West Garo Hills on Monday, all equivocally demanding an apology from the budding politician at the earliest.

The daughter of former Chief Minister, Dr. Mukul Sangma, who is contesting the Ampati seat against Clement G Momin of the NPP and an independent candidate had drawn flak for her comments in a meeting after her nomination filing wherein she compared people of the two constituencies calling those in Selsella less intelligent than those of her constituency.
Selsella is the constituency where the current Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma has a vote in though it is currently represented by Congress candidate and former minister, Clement Marak.
The bye election in Ampati is being held after Dr Sangma gave up the seat after winning both at Songsak and Ampati. Voting will be held pm May 28 with the result to be declared on May 31.
