SHILONG, May 12: Everything in life whether good or bad, becomes better with Music, and this has been proven time and time again.
In keeping with this maxim, the Department of Music, Martin Luther Christian University also did its part on Saturday by performing in cafes across the city to serenade the patrons of these places.

Through this unique programme, the students of the department took the stage in Café Shillong and Mellow Mood Café in Laitumkhrah and in the Evening Club in Police Bazaar to showcase their talent and enthral the audience with their renditions of songs from different genres of music.
The University aims to hold a music road show in Ward’s Lake to entertain and prepare their music students for a different kind of stage.
As people were enjoying the start of the weekend with their friends, coffee, and great food they also were mesmerised by the performance of the students who performed English, Khasi, Pnar and even a Malayalam song accompanied by western and traditional instruments.
The main objective of these events is to provide a platform for students to showcase their musical skills and talents which in turn goes a long way for the student-performers to learn experientially.
