AAP is also expecting to contest in 35 seats to make impact in the Meghalaya politics as the party believes Congress is almost finished, BJP will not have any impact and NPP although will get few seats but will not be enough to form government as they are basically from Garo Hills.
“We are hoping to field 35 candidates for the next election as we have good chance of winning, Congress almost finish,  BJP do not much supporters we have good chance. Although NPP will get few seats but NPP in Garo,” he said.
“We are expecting to form Government but we have not decided on pre or post poll alliance,” Nongtdu added.
Asked if any big leader will be joining the party, he said, “We are Aam aadmi and we will have common man as candidates, we have few retired Officers, few intellectuals who want to contest but if any big names want to join we are Aam Aadmi party and we welcome them if they want to join but we prefer our candidates to be common people”.
