TURA, Dec 02: Buoyed by the success of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Civic elections, the state unit, while celebrating the victory has predicted a similar state of affairs in the states that are due to elections in the coming months.
The BJP won a landslide victory in UP civic elections securing as many as 14 out of 16 mayoral posts for the party.
The party held a celebration of the results today in the BJP office in Williamnagar in the presence of senior leaders, including state vice president Rikman G Momin and state organizing secretary, Pankaj Deka on Saturday.
“For decades, Rae Bareaily and Amethi have been strongholds of the Congress party and this time they have lost both seats. They not only lost but lost badly. We will be celebrating in a similar way after the declaration of results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections on Dec 18 as well, when we form the government in these states,” said Momin.
Rakesh Marak, the district president added that the celebrations would not end there. “We will continue the celebrations after the conclusion of the state elections in 2018 when our party emerges victorious,” he said.
