TURA, Nov 28: One of the two men, who went missing since last Friday finally returned home on Monday night after being drugged and robbed in the city of Guwahati in Assam.
Jebil Sangma and Kalmen Sangma, both residents of Lower Beomedang under Kharkutta Police Station had gone to Guwahati via the 10 am train from Dudhnoi on Friday and were missing since then. While Jebil has been able to return home, Kalmen’s whereabouts are still not known.

An FIR into the case was filed on Saturday last week at Kharkutta Police Station.
Jebil, who returned home on Monday night, did so after walking all the way from Bongaigaon to his house, almost 90 kms away.
According to the victim, he and Kalmen took a rickshaw from Guwahati station to get to the nearby market. When they went to pay the fare, the rickshaw puller refused the fare stating that he would come later in the evening and help them sell the vegetables as well as take them to the station.
“The rickshaw puller came at the designated time. However some of the vegetables were still unsold. The rickshaw puller informed them that he was friends with a wholeseller who could buy up the unsold lot and called him to the market. However the supposed wholeseller refused to buy the vegetables though he wanted to help them store their goods if required,” said a family member.
