SHILLONG, Nov 14: Deibormi Lyngdoh and Natasha Wahlang were crowned Mr and Miss Fresh Faces, an event organized by a Bhopal-based AK Production in the city on November 11.
Announcing the winners at a press conference held here, organizer of the event Nadarwenn Mihsill said that Lyngdoh and Wahlang will soon sign contracts with the AK Production to feature in Bhopal movies.
He also informed that the winners along with other top five contestants of the Mr & Miss Fresh Faces are also set to represent the state in the upcoming Bhopal Fashion Week, which will be held in April, next year.
It may be mentioned here that Wahlang is a former Miss North East.
On the other hand, Lyngdoh, who hails from Sahsniang, a remote village located along the inter-state border in West Jaintia Hills District (about 112 km from here), had earlier participated in big platforms like Mr North East, Mr Glam Snap and such.
Being from a village, he said that that this is the first time that he is getting an opportunity to represent the state outside.
“Going to Bhopal is of course a big opportunity for me,” said Lyngdoh, who is also one of the supporting actors in a new Jaintia movie titled ‘Thong Iong Nga’ or ‘My goal’.
Presently pursuing his higher education in the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Lyngdoh said though he likes acting, his main aim in life is to become a professor.
