SHILLONG, Aug 05: Terming the accusations that he had manhandled a woman at his residence on Friday as ‘politically motivated’, South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai has filed a FIR against the alleged victim on Saturday.
“The accused person has been politically motivated with ill intention to tarnish my image by some person with vested interests to cause harm and injury to me,” Shullai said in his complaint to the Officer in Charge, Laban Police Station on Saturday.

Shullai also accused the alleged victim, Haviba Passah and two others accompanying her of attempting to assault him with a weapon.
Narrating the train of events which had led to the incident, Shullai said that he was at his residence in the presence of his staff members and a visitor when the three people had barged into his office and hurled abuse and threats at him.
“Fortunately, the swift action of my personal security officer, along with my staff prevented the accused person from causing any harm to me,” Shullai said.
He also informed that the intervention of his wife and daughters led to Passah and the other two persons identified as Mickey Passah and Disyona Passah leaving the house even as they threatened to file a complaint against him.
In this backdrop, Shullai has urged police to take necessary steps by registering a case against the three accused persons and to arrest them in accordance with the law for criminal trespassing, attempt to murder and for threatening him.
