A vehicle went off-road and hit – cum – partially parked itself atop a scooter parked on the road near the Shillong Commerce College turning on Boyce Road on Thursday. The damage to the car and its occupants could have been severe if not for the unfortunate scooter.
Mentionably, the car had ‘L’ tag indicating ‘Learner’ pasted on the windshield.
It is the second incident involving a learner driver case. It may be mentioned that in the first case, a person was killed and three seriously injured at Nongthymmai on July 29, 2017 when the driver of a Wagon-R bearing registration number ML-05G-0051 lost control of the vehicle and rammed over four pedestrians.
