Liquor bottles found in ill fated ambulance

SHILLONG, May 10: With the death of the driver and helper of a 108 Ambulance which plunged into a gorge on Wednesday afternoon, sources have revealed that police had recovered bottles of liquor from the ill fated vehicle.
The incident took place at around 3 pm, when the ambulance plunged into a gorge at Kreit village under Mawngap police station in East Khasi Hills District, police said.


They said the deceased have been identified as Teiborlang Lyngdoh (32) of  Mawlai Mawroh, who was the driver of the ill-fated ambulance and Kyrshanbor Marwein (23) of Mawkyrwat, his helper.
The ambulance was on its way to Mairang from Shillong.
