Police urge for adherence to safety rules

SHILLONG, March 01: In view of the sad tragic incident on February 26 last in West Khasi Hills and to avoid any untoward incident to happen thereafter, especially for the upcoming Synod to be held at Mihmyntdu and Ummulong  respectively,  the Superintendent of Police, DSB, West Jaintia Hills has  requested those coming for Synod to follow the safety rules requesting them not to travel in Trucks, Goods Vehicles, Pick-Up Trucks and such, not to make any unnecessary overtaking  especially at sharp curves and turning and at the same time to avoid over-speeding.

They should wear seat belts while travelling, they should not to use Mobile phones while driving and sitting capacity should also be maintained in the Vehicle.
The believers are also requested to start early so as to prevent any haste while travelling, they may also be informed about their exact location for parking. Drunken driving should be avoided to prevent any untoward incident. The believers are requested to follow and obey the traffic rules and to take care and drive cautiously.
