Shillong, Jan 24: There was a time when Playing meant going outside, getting dirty, exhausted and being scolded on arriving back at home. What was more inspiring was the “it’s worth it” attitude of the children having to brave the inevitable dangers of breaking window panes, dirtying the neighbors’ whitewashed walls and of course expecting sound thrashings from their parents; and that too, everyday.
And those were the days.
