First Northeast Cycl0Bhp Challenge takes cycling and B Boying uphill

SHILLONG, Jan 27:
On January 21- 22 last, Shillong witnessed the “First Northeast Cycl0Bhp Challenge”, the first of its kind event to promote cycling as an adventurous sport and BBoying.
The event was organized at Nongpyiur Village, Upper Shillong by Meghalaya xBhp Sports & Adventure Club in association with the Extreme Sports Association of India.
Altogether 50 riders between the ages of 13 to 39 years from Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram participated in the SuperD Races and the Freestyle Bmx riding.
There were special performances by Evolution Freestyle Riders from (Delhi, Dehradun, Ludhiana and Chandigarh), Rappers Cryptographic Street Poets and BBoying by Zorinkima Chhunthang.
Other attraction of the event was the BBoying challenge where the groups made up of about 17 dancers battled against each other through amazing dance steps.
The Super D Race included a 2 kms downhill ride through rough terrains, 10 jumps and 18 dangerous corners while the Freestyle bmx challenge included flatland tricks.
The Super D Race MTB (Junior) winners were Kevin Logan Kharlukhi, Hakidabit Thangkhiew and Brandon Kharkongor. Gregory A. Super D Race MTB (Senior) winners were Warjri, Bryan Pariat, Paominthang R. Vaiphei. Super D Race BMX (Junior) winners were Dame Wawki Hao Suiam, Albert K. Nongrum, Anil Thapa. Winners of Super D Race BMX (Senior) Saihmingpuia Sailo (Mizoram), Gregory A. Warjri, Amar Gurung. Freestyle bmx winners were Miller B. Renthlei, Karan Sunar,  Laishram Loyanganba Singh (Manipur) and the winners of Freestyle Dance (BBoying) were Just Do It, Lildemonz, Fancy Crew.
