BPL, APL rice released for Tura Sardar Sub Division

TURA, Feb 29:
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills has in a notification informed that due to lapse of quota, Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty Line (APL) rice have been released below the prescribed scale for the month of December 2011 while the same has been released on normal scale for the month of January 2012 for Tura Sardar Sub Division through respective fair price shop dealers.
The scale of BPL rice is 45kgs per card for 2 months at Rs.9 per kg while APL rice and adhoc additional rice is 18kgs and 10kgs at Rs.12 per kg respectively per card for two months for urban areas.
However, for rural areas, the price vigilance committee is entrusted to re fix the price according to the distance from the lifting point.
