Sangma not allowed to meet Jagan in jail

Hyderabad, June 25 (IANS): Presidential candidate P.A. Sangma was Monday denied permission to meet YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in Chanchalguda Central Jail here.
Sangma drove to the jail to call on Jaganmohan Reddy to seek his party's support for his candidature. The jail officials, however, refused to give him permission to meet the member of parliament.

Body found near FCI gate

SHILLONG, June 25:
Police on the night of June 23 last found a body which was lying near FCI gate, Mawlai.
According to police, the body found has been identified as Lymbart Lynrah (22).
“The body has injury marks on the face and back,” police said. Later, Lynrah was shifted to civil hospital for medical aid.

Six – year old drowns in Raj Bhavan complex

SHILLONG, June 25:
A six year old girl Monday lost her life after she fell into 7 – feet water filled un-fenced gorge dug for construction of the staff quarter buildings at the Raj Bhavan complex.
Police informed that the body of the girl was found floating at around 11 am Monday morning on the seven feet deep hole dug for groundwork for the construction of quarter buildings at Governor House.

No NCP whip against voting for Sangma

Patna, June 25:
Meghalaya leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Conrad Sangma is leading a full-fledged campaign in support of former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma’s candidature for the post of president. He said there is no whip from the party and it is a conscious decision with the rights bestowed upon each individual MLA’s and MPs to vote a member of their choice to the top post.
