Daughter complains against father for rape

SHILLONG, June 29:
A young women lodged a complaint at Nongstoin Police Station on Wednesday last saying that during the month of May this year, her father raped her at Umdein village, West Khasi Hills district.
She also said in her complaint that, later the accused (father) also threatened the members of the clan with dire consequences.
Sources said that the father is absconding and police are doing the necessary investigation.

NSE, IIM-S to start India’s first PGP in Financial Markets

SHILLONG, June 29:
National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Indian Institute of Management, Shillong (IIM-S), one of the top ten business schools in the country have planned for a new initiative to start the first ever two year full time Post Graduate Programme in Financial Markets (PGP-FM).
Managing Director & CEO of NSE, Ravi Narain, and  Director of IIM Shillong, Ashoke K. Dutta, on Friday signed an agreement at the NSE office in Mumbai, to make the course a grand success.
