ANVC(B) Chairman is safe

Shillong, June 13:  ANVC(B) on Thursday informed that its Chairman is safe. The outfit said their Chairman, Rimpu N Marak, was rescued from a place near Tura by its Secret Operation Squad (S.O.S).
Revealing this through a press communiqué, General Secretary (GS) of ANVC(B), Jakrik Wareng A. Sangma said, “Chairman was rescued from a place near Tura, where he was hiding after police raided a place in Babupara. Seeing the police enter the building, Chairman moved out from behind, jumping a two storied building, escaping into the nearby jungle.”

According to Sangma, after his heroic effort in evading police, Rimpu remained there till a special rescue team from Cheram was sent that moved him to safety through the jungle.
He elucidated that this top secret rescue mission was carried out by Secret Operation Squad (S.O.S), commonly known as Memang Command of ANVC(B) which works in total secrecy and in direct order of the Chief.
“The rescue mission was not made known to anyone, not even to the officers of the organization or the family members for security reasons. SOS was trained for situation such as this, where top secret mission needed to be carried out for the safety of the leaders, the organization and for the good of the people,” he added.
Sangma further informed that after being rescued, Rimpu is now being moved to Delhi to speed up the settlement process and will return to Garo Hills only after the settlement.
