Army bids farewell to J&K martyr

Guwahati, June 27: The mortal remain of Sep (late) Pravin Das of Ghogapara Village, PO Bhergaon, Udalguri Dist who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting hardcore terrorists in Srinagar, J&K on June 24 was received Thursday in a solemn ceremony at Guwahti.
The mortal remain of the brave soldier was escorted to his native village by Officers and men from the local Army Garrison where his last rites were performed with full Military Honours.

The Wreath laying was attended by Senior Officers of Gajraj Corps and Civil administration to honour the martyr.
The Kith and Kin of the Martyr along with a large number of locals  gathered to pay their last respects to the son of the soil who laid down his life fighting for the motherland and ensuring the safety and security of his countrymen. Sep (late) Pravin Das is survived by his mother, Smt Sevali Das and two elder brothers. As stated by Defence PRO, Guwahati, Lt Col SS Phogat.
